How does a Via Cordata session work?
Similar to via ferrata, Via Cordata follows dizzying routes, but the equipment installed on the cliff is more minimalist. The ropes are set up by our experienced instructors, and progression is often done on a taut rope, like in mountaineering. You will be safely guided for an adventure that combines nature and thrilling sensations.

Located around Nice and other spectacular locations on the French Riviera, our routes allow you to discover exceptional landscapes. Each itinerary combines easy climbs and aerial hikes. Even though the activity remains vertical, the technical sections are accessible to all levels.
Depending on the chosen route, you can also try rappelling, an experience that is both impressive and rewarding.
Practical Information
- Duration: Most routes are completed in half a day, approximately 3 hours of activity.
- Times: Departures available at 9 AM or 1:30 PM, depending on the season.
- Equipment provided: All technical equipment is included (harnesses, ropes, helmets).
- Accessibility: Activity suitable for all levels, even without prior experience.
- Season: Our Via Cordata routes are available year-round, except in July and August when we focus on canyoning. However, feel free to consult us: if we have availability, we would be happy to organize an unforgettable adventure, even in the summer!

Meeting at the site
The activity starts directly on site, in the heart of the Alpes-Maritimes or Var. We’ll meet you at the chosen location for a quick departure and an immediate immersion into your adventure.
Introduction and equipment preparation
Upon arrival, we’ll equip you with all the necessary technical gear: harness, helmet, lanyard, and rope. Everything is included and provided by us; you just need to bring suitable clothing and sturdy shoes.
Safety introduction
Before starting, we’ll explain the basics of Via Cordata progression, safety guidelines, and how to use the equipment. This step ensures a serene and safe experience.
Route and progression
The routes, lasting 2 to 3 hours, alternate between aerial sections, easy traverses, and sometimes more dizzying passages to offer you unique sensations. Depending on the route, you may also try rappelling. Guided by our professional instructors, you will progress in small groups for a friendly and personalized experience. Progression is done on a taut rope, like in mountaineering, ensuring safety and fluidity.
Return and sharing moments
Once the route is completed, we take a moment to discuss your feelings and discoveries. Our instructors will also give you tips on how to continue exploring the vertical world at your own pace.
