DESCENT OF THE BOLLÈNE-VÉSUBIE CANYON: SPECTACULAR SLIDES AND UNFORGETTABLE ADVENTURE

Explore the Bollène Canyon, famous for its natural slides, jumps, and rappels, set in a wild and preserved environment in the Alpes-Maritimes

BOLLÈNE-VÉSUBIE CANYON: A MUST-DO CANYONING EXPERIENCE IN THE ALPES-MARITIMES

Nestled near Lantosque, in the preserved Vésubie Valley, the descent of the Bollène Canyon, or Riou de la Bollène, is one of the most memorable canyoning experiences in the Alpes-Maritimes. This canyon is renowned for its two impressive natural slides, perfect for thrill-seekers. The difficulty level is considered accessible for beginners, as no jumps or slides are mandatory—there is always the option to rappel down. However, it is a narrow canyon, and once the descent starts, there is only one escape route before the exit (at the first big slide), which is rarely used as it involves a long, steep climb (about 1 hour).

A Playful and Varied Canyon

With its many jumps, rappels, and slides, the Bollène Canyon offers an adventure full of excitement. The spectacular, preserved natural surroundings provide a true immersion in the heart of the Nice hinterland. During this full-day outing, a picnic break by the river allows you to fully enjoy the enchanting setting before continuing with the second part of the descent.

Accessible, Yet With a Touch of Audacity

The course is designed to be suitable for everyone, with major obstacles being optional thanks to the rappel descents. However, to ensure a smooth and dynamic experience, it is recommended to be prepared for jumps of at least 5 meters high. This moderate level of commitment makes the Bollène Canyon an ideal choice for adventurers seeking a balanced challenge.

A Unique Experience in an Exceptional Setting

The Bollène-Vésubie Canyon is truly an invitation to escape and explore. Whether you’re with family or friends, it offers a day full of thrills and unforgettable memories.

As a reminder, if you’re looking for shorter adventures, we also offer half-day canyons such as the Loup Canyon or the Gours du Ray Canyon. And for even more canyoning joy, try the courses in Riolan, Barbaira, or Courmes.

Don’t miss this opportunity to discover one of the most beautiful canyons in the Alpes-Maritimes and experience an unforgettable adventure in a preserved natural environment.
