The Gourdon Canyon, located in the beautiful Loup Valley above the famous Gorges du Loup, is a must-do for canyoning enthusiasts. Ideal for beginners and intermediates, this vertical canyon gives you the opportunity to experience rappel descents in a breathtaking natural setting. With numerous waterfalls up to 25 meters high, this canyon combines jumps, rappels, and a unique wild atmosphere.
The Gourdon clue is particularly famous for its vertical passages, offering stunning views and a real sense of adventure. You will explore inaccessible places, only reachable through canyoning, using various rappel techniques. If you love unusual discoveries and pristine nature, this canyon is perfect for you.
No long approach hike (10 minutes) for this canyon; just head to our base with private parking in the Gorges du Loup, and from there, our shuttle will take you to the start of the Gourdon Canyon.
Once the descent is finished, you’ll take the « path to paradise » to climb back up to the picturesque village of Gourdon, only 30 minutes on foot.
The Gourdon Canyon is rated intermediate. While it’s not too difficult, it presents interesting challenges with vertical obstacles. Several techniques are available to overcome these challenges, making it a rewarding experience for groups or families with kids from 12 years old.

From Vence - East
Go to Tourettes sur Loup on the D2210 and go on to Pont du Loup. At the entrance of Pont du Loup turn right on the D6 in the direction of Courmes. Drive 6-7 mins to the second bridge and you’ll see our car park and office.
From Grasse - West
Exit highway A8 at Cagnes sur Mer and take the D336 and D436 to reach la Colle sur Loup. Go up the Loup valley taking the D6 up to Pont du Loup and still go straight up on the D6 in the direction of Courmes. Drive 6-7 mins to the second bridge and you’ll see our car park and office.
From sea side - South
Take the A8 motorway, then exit at Cagnes-sur-Mer. Take the D336 and D436 roads to reach the village of La Colle-sur-Loup, then follow the Loup Valley upstream via the D6 to reach the village of Pont du Loup (13 km between La Colle-sur-Loup and Pont du Loup). Drive for 10 minutes to the hamlet of Bramafan (second bridge). There are 24 km between the A8 motorway and the parking area.
EQUIPMENT TO BRING
For your canyoning outing, here is the necessary equipment to prepare:
- A swimsuit (one-piece, two-piece, shorts, briefs… no matter the style)
- A pair of closed sports shoes with good soles (water shoes like Decathlon brand are not recommended). Don’t have any? No worries, we rent sneakers on-site.
- A towel and a pair of spare shoes, as your sneakers will get wet 😉.

ACTIVITY FLOW
The private guide package allows you to book a guide exclusively for your group, with no additional participants. Private bookings are available for your full-day canyoning adventure at a rate of €680 per guide. A single guide can accommodate up to 8 people. If your group is larger, you have the option to book additional guides.
